Scanning & Cropping Out Text in One Step

I've been ask a number of times by customers, "How to I scan a picture from a magazine article, and get rid of all of the text so I just copy the picture?"

Resizing Your Digital Photos

The new digital cameras are great! The image quality from the 7+ megapixel cameras is really sharp, but have you looked at the jpeg file sizes? Most of the file sizes are 2+ megabytes in size. Depending on the capacity of someone's email-box, mailing several of them could fill it right up.

Here's a short video on how to resize those large digital photos:

Scanner Buttons

You've just purchased a new scanner, and might be wondering what all of those buttons on the lid are. Here's a photo of the buttons on a HP scanner, and how they're used.

"Scan" just scans docs/pics to a file.

"Negative/slides" is used for scanning film.

"Printer" acts as a copier and sends docs directly to be printed.

"Email" attaches the scan to send as an email.
